We can do this by following the vintage (Paul) example of simultaneously being supportive and subjective (to the empire). We can only do this if we find (look for) everything in Jesus – our hope, our happiness, our prosperity. Series Summary: Empires are everywhere, even within. From the Ancient Roman Empire that exerted its presence through conquest and war, to the everyday social maneuvering we do in order to gain an elevated status — Empires are always the same story — get power and do what you have to do in order to keep it.
