Part 2 Wake Up Bainbridge Co Host Sal DeRosalia went down to Bainbridge Island Museum of Art this Saturday, June 1st 2019 to record a Podcast and help out at the first in a series of great events this summer. Bainbridge Pride and BIMA teamed up to bring a panel of five (5) experts that provided a wealth of personal history, topical knowledge, humor and most of all, humanity. We were honored to be in attendance and can't wait to host the June 23rd event at Waterfront Park. To commemorate Stonewall Uprising 50th anniversary, Bainbridge Pride is proud to host its very first seminar featuring multiple invited leaders from the LGBTQIA community to discuss their own personal stories as well as an in-depth discussion about our community's history since Stonewall. Topics include: Stonewall Icons, Homophobia, DOMA, DADT, Transgender Rights, Civil Rights, the origins of Gayborhoods, Regional Prides, to name a few.
