Life is hard enough and we need to know that God wants to save us. It doesn't mean that your life will be great as far as the natural, but you will obtain the Great life of the eternal. So many churches are preaching into the flesh and not giving the gospel which is our only job. We need to explain that due to the falleness of this world and the ruler of it he wants to satisfy your flesh, to only capture your soul. Jesus died not for material wealth or health, but for eternal life and a life that's more abundant serving him here.
