Recorded on the heels of the band’s tumultuous second record The Natural Bridge which saw frontman David Berman have a near mental breakdown, American Water reunited him with his friends Stephen Malkmus and Bob Nastanovich of the band Pavement and finally brought together all the disparate elements that made previous records so special.
