Pastor Syd reviewed with the congregation Romans 9-10:13. Romans 10 and 11 are about the relationship of Israel and the church. In Romans 10 Paul prayed for ethnic Israel to be saved. (Ethnic Israel is different from the Israel of God, or the saved Jews.) A sign of a hardened heart is deception. The word of faith for salvation and righteousness consists of confession and belief that God raised Jesus from the dead. Whoever calls on the Lord shall be saved. Faith is followed by action. Israel can be saved, if they hear about Jesus Christ, and if a sent one preaches Jesus. Faith is birthed in a heart that responds to God's anointed utterance of the Anointed One, from hearing the Rhema (word) of God, a living word to you. Present Israel can be saved (Romans 11; Romans 1:16). The Israel of God, that is the believing Jews or the elect, and the church are one.
