Synopsis
This short horror story, written by Louisa May Alcott is about an Egyptologist , the love of his life and a mummy's curse.Inside the book we find a characteristic element of the writer's horror stories: the presence of the fatal female. Here he is impersonated by a mummified sorceress. When, after an expedition to Egypt, Professor Forsyt went to his girlfriend Evelyn with a box of mysterious scarlet seeds, she, out of curiosity, dragged the professor back to Egypt, inside the pyramid of Cheops ... and here the story is chilling.Inside the Pyramid, exhausted Forsyt lies down on the sand and falls asleep. When he wakes up he finds himself alone and rushes to frantically seek Niles.This work is considered thriller, because of the twists, the suspense, the speed in the succession of events, the presence of reversals of situations that encourage the reader to continue reading the book without ever getting tired.
