God is in control over us, as well as all nations. Nations will reap what they sow, just as man does when he sins. Our country could use a makeover. Also read: Galatians 6:7; Matthew 12:25, 30.

God ordained every government that has ever been on this earth. He is in compete control. Jesus worked within this system while He was on earth. When a nation doesn't honor God, He will put in power "the basest of men, and we will gladly elect them." Also read: Matt. 5:14; Romans 13:1-6; Colossians 1:13; 1 Timothy 2:1-4; Titus 3:1; 1 Peter 2:13-17; Daniel 4:17.

Like a potter, God has control over His vessel, His creation. We are His workmanship and He has a plan for us. And, just like a piece of marred pottery, God can use us. He will re-mold us and accept us with all our defects. We need to become what God wants us to be and let Him work through us. Also study: Proverbs 22:6; Matthew 12:30.

Christians think they have to fake a smile and happiness even when they're in a valley because they don't want others to think that they don't rely on God. The flesh will act out. Remember God's good works in your life to encourage yourself during those times. Seek God, pray and listen for Him to answer. Remember -- in the end, we win.

Christianity is a good message -- so how can we make it even better? By showing Jesus through us! We have something the world needs but we have to show it by "adorning the gospel." Lost people long for Christ, it should be our mission to make it available to them.

Also study John 17:3 and 4:20-24. We worship an omnipotent God who we have faith in to be everywhere all the time. The pagans had different gods for every situation in life. They were finite and were only expected to govern their individual areas. We need to get to know our God...not wait until we need Him to begin living for Him. God wants us to know who He is.

Everyone on the planet has the same number of hours and minutes in a day. Whether you are a world leader or a janitor, time is the one thing that we are all completely equal in.
