Ron opens this segment talking about a recent repair from his shop in 2014. A new customer came in with a lean fault code & an EVAP system fault on her 2004 Toyota Corolla. The Car Doctor takes us through it, pointing out that the 2 codes are not similar or connected. And then the car develops a 3rd fault code. Ron goes even deeper explaining it in everyday language. This segment of Ron Ananian, The Car Doctor finds Ron talking about the importance of getting good vehicle information in order to repair cars. This leads Ron to welcome back  a return guest, Paul Marshall of Alldata Information Systems to talk about the latest and greatest for 2014. But its not just a look back; its about the numbers; they talk about the overall size and scope of what it takes to produce repair info by 2014 standards; you can only imagine how it has grown in the past 10 years. They also discuss Alldata DIY information as this was the year of its launch. Ron then opens the phones to talk with Pat from Illinois with problems in his 2003 GMC Envoy. He has temp gauge issues and his shop has replaced multiple parts all to no avail. Ron helps nudge the repair in the right direction. Ron opens this hour responding yet again to listeners letters regarding the failed washing machine that dogged him back in 2014. Adding to the problem is a surprise; tune in for the story about the washing machine technicians van breaking down and how Ron had to help fix it. Talk about adding insult to injury!  Andrew and his 2007 Chevy Tahoe is the first caller this hour. He is having an issue with the truck in his own words "falling apart" since it came over the mountains in the family move recently. This was a common problem and Ron helps him break down (no pun intended) the problems as he lists them. Ron's next call is from Pattie in Maine regarding issues with her 1991 Ford Ranger with 13,000 miles. At random, on startup, it has a high erratic idle and won't shut off even with the key removed. Ron Ananian, The Car Doctor responds to a listeners email this segment regarding maintenance on a 2008 Chrysler. Ron covers the answer in depth and gives us lots to think about. HIs first call this segment, is from NJ from Matt, regarding his 2002 Chevy Tracker. The serpentine belt squeals and Matt claims there is no adjustment; but there is; its a manual system adjustment system. Ron talks about all of it from belt tension and also belt alignment.   After the break, Ron goes to Massachusetts for a call regarding a code P0101 on a 2004 Chevy Colorado. A possible MAF fault? Or not? Ron walks us through the possibilities, even though several repair shops including the dealer, have not repaired it.  The last call this episode is from John in Virginia regarding his 2005 Subaru Outback which is suffering from torque bind.
