There is a Mike Yeo job watch in effect, despite a couple of solid wins against the hapless Buffalo Sabres, and decent Washington Capitals. The words of the Wild coach following a New Years Eve loss to the St. Louis Blues said a lot, by saying he no longer talks to the players after a loss. With a very vital schedule coming up this week against all Western Conference teams, the pressure is on to win more than one of the next four.

The Minnesota Wild are literally back at full strength, and it showed during the 3-0 display this past week since the last show! Paladino Joey and Neil "Natedogg" Thesing glow with positivity in this one, because there was very little to complain about of late, as nearly the entire team is playing well, and contributing consistently!

A very strong week by the Wild, unfortunately leads to a rude awakening to start the next week, as they see a three game win streak end at the hands of the talented and hated Chicago Blackhawks. Joey and Neil are forced to record two days later than normal, due to the Vikings game being on Sunday night, so we had to include the second of two Blackhawks games, turning a 3-0 review into a 3-1. Jason Zucker, a big time prospect in the Wild organization was another to have missed an opportunity by failing to make the NHL roster early on, only to be called up anyway due to a very unfortunate injury to emerging star Charlie Coyle in Game number 2. The Minnesota Wild have become a force in the Western Conference, after such a sluggish start, the team is showing signs of becoming a long-term winner in the NHL. Ryan Suter has exploded, and become well worth the 100 million contract that he signed last summer, as he, Zach Parise, and Mikko Koivu have developed a chemistry, that may someday be in the story books for many years to come.
