The Wild have made baby steps this year from last, and in some cases, big improvements, including the play of Brent Burns. Everything said, in this episode, Joey talks about how the overall progress of the organization has been stagnant, as the Minnesota Wild remain parallel in the 10th seed in the Western Conference.

The Wild have improved from last year, particularly in the net, but the scoring, especially of late, has completely eluded them. With nobody on the current roster, or in Houston with anything resembling a goal scorer, the Wild get a blast from the past, and acquire former blue chip prospect Patrick O'Sullivan off waivers. The Wild's season is all be over, as a winning streak is followed by a losing streak, then followed by a smaller win streak, followed by another losing streak and so on. Nothing went right for the Wild this past week, and they didn't deserve anything to go right. 9 shots on goal at home against the Florida Panthers was historic, and rendered your host nearly speechless. The Wild made news twice, with the signing of Marek Zidlicky to a three year 12 million dollar deal, and the trading of Eric Belanger to the Washington Capitals for a second round pick. The Wild go 1-1 this past week, and will end up .500 for the month of February as they lose AT HOME to the Atlanta Thrashers. The good news however, is that the Wild have somehow figured out Roberto Luongo and the Vancouver Canucks in a big way of late. We also get into Pierre Marc-Bouchard and his long recovery from concussion junction.

We thought this was going to be a short show, with a few news nuggets, and only two games to talk about. Instead, while preparing for this episode, hot off the wire, new brakes that the Wild have traded top prospect Nick Leddy and overpaid Kim Johnsson for defenseman Cam Barker (23). With Backstrom sick, Harding's sore hip goes from hurt to injured, leaving the Wild to their third and fourth options in net. Anton Kudobin, the fourth option looks better then Wade Dubielewicz (third option).
