Advent is such a wonderful time of preparation and celebration of the coming of the King of kings and also looking forward to His second coming! There is a powerful line in the first chorus of O Holy Night that calls us to “Fall on your knees,” and this is the posture of advent. A posture of worship and humility before the King of kings! May our focus and attention be on Jesus this Christmas season and how the Light of the world has come to us!

This weekend Pastor Donny Abbott is continuing our series "God's Nature: Tracing His Fingerprints" by looking at Wind. Wind is a powerful force in nature and has played a pivotal role in many epic scenes found in the Scriptures. The Hebrew word for wind is Ruach. But it's also a word used to describe breath and Spirit. All three of these depict the movement of God. Pastor Donny will close his time this weekend with a powerful story from the Gospel of Matthew and a Rembrandt painting that shows how Jesus is in control of the Wind!

God is in control and He is God in every season. He is worthy of praise and we can trust Him no matter what is happening in our lives! But sometimes we endure desert-type seasons where we feel distant or we're walking through trials that test our faith. This weekend we will continue our series titled, "God's Nature" by exploring the question, "where is God in the desert?"
