We must continually seek God, dwelling in his presence to be truly blessed.

As David shows us in Psalm 103, we can forget all of the LORD’s benefits. So in this psalm David helps us to delight in all the ways God has blessed us. And the natural response then is to bless God with our all.

Satisfaction in life is so fleeting when we seek it in created things. But as Psalm 16 shows us, God alone can truly satisfy us, and in Christ he has provided our ultimate satisfaction.

Everyone wants a life worth living, the problem is – how do you get one? Psalm 8 helps us to see that the only life worth living is a life lived delighting in one’s Creator – our Creator who delights in us.

The apostle Paul wrote with such joy and confidence even though he was a chained to a Roman guard and imprisoned. How can we embody a similar mind set as we will undoubtedly face our own trials and hardships this side of heaven?
