Mma Sesh: Ufc, Bellator, Wsof & More

The guys are live pool side at TI Resort and Casino. They bring Roy Nelson on stage to talk about his upcoming fight with Derrick "The Black Beast" Lewis and the current state of MMA. Next they bring up maniac Ray Oldhafer, and after Ray and Roy have a chance to get acquainted they play the game that is sweeping the nation, Sesh Phrase.

Tom, Nick and Jay are all in studio for a truncated MMA Sesh where they do a quick recap of UFC Fight Night: Ottawa, and preview the big weekend ahead for the MMA Sesh Team.

The guys open the show recapping the Carolla Drinks Mangria Bar Crawl and Nick's successful weight cut.  They then play the game that's sweeping the nation, Sesh Phrase, and have a spirited competition. They close the show previewing the highly anticipated Ottawa main event between Stephen Thompson and Rory MacDonald.

The guys break down the biggest week in MMA History, starting with Friday Night and the passing of Muhammad Ali, through all the news that broke during UFC 199 and Michael Bisping shocking the world against Luke Rockhold, and they finish the show talking about the passing of Kimbo Slice.

The guys open the show discussing Nick's weight loss competition he just started. They move on to recapping the great UFC Fight Night, including Jeremy Stephens impressive showing to rain on Renan Barao's featherweight debut parade and Cody Garbrandt extending his perfect record to 9-0 while adding the first blemish to Thomas Almeida's Record. After the break the guys come back and hit some headlines involving Valentina Shevchenko, Matt Mitrione, and Matt Serra. Tom and Nick next go head to head in a battle of historical MMA wits. They close the show with some predictions for UFC 199. 

The guys open the show recapping Venator FC's crazy card in Italy including Jason Miller missing weight by 24 pounds and Rousimar Palhares getting TKO'd. They then take a phone call from NAGA founder and CEO Kipp Kollar, and talk to him about his journey in mixed martial arts and the history of the North American Grappling Association. He stays on the line as the guys talk about BJ Penn's suspension and they preview UFC Vegas: Garbrandt vs. Almeida.

Tait Fletcher sits down with the guys in studio to talk about his passion for nutrition, his entrepeneurial ventures, and his fighting career. They then take a phone call from Jeremy Bjornberg to dive into the Minnesota MMA scene, and close the show with recaps of Glory 30 and UFC 198.

The guys open the show hearing about Danny Acosta's journey into MMA journalism, then recap some great fights from UFC Rotterdam. Tom then talks about some New England Patriots training at his gym, USMMA, and Bill Belichick giving the gym his blessing. Nick recaps a crazy game of poker, and they close the show previewing UFC 198 and discussing the current and future landscape of MMA.

The guys open the show recapping Jon Jones sub par yet still dominate performance over OSP as well as the rest of UFC 197's main card. The guys then talk to Iron Works Training Center's owner Eric Anderson and athlete Austen Heidlage on Eric's upcoming show in La Crescent, MN on April 30th (Tickets at www.cagetix.com) and Austen's possible RFA debut. After coming back from break, the guys for some god awful reason talk Game of Throne's debut and dissect a famous battle from the show. They close the show discussing the Conor McGregor/UFC 200 situation, and Benson Henderson's Bellator debut.  

Tom and Nick open the show recapping the great UFC on Fox card,Texeira vs Evans, including Glover's KO of Rashad, Khabib's dominance over UFC newcomer Darrell Horcher, and Michael Chiesa almost shitting his pants. They then discuss Lyoto Machida's suspension, and preview UFC 197.

The guys open the show recapping UFC Zagreb and JDS's destruction of Ben Rothwell. They then discuss Frank Mir getting suspended and discuss PED's in the sport. McRitchie then lends his expertise to the MMA beard rankings, and the guys close the show previewing UFC on Fox: Teixeira vs Evans.

Tom and Nick open the show discussing Jon Jone's recent legal troubles as well as Daniel Cormier's physical ailments. They recap Smash Global including excerpts from Nick's interviews with Freddie Roach and Dominick Cruz. They close the show with a brief preview of UFC Zagreb including Tom reminiscing about an old card he promoted that included a young Big Ben Rothwell.

Tom and Nick spend the first half of the show discussing the aftermath of UFC 196's blockbuster matchups of Holly Holm vs Miesha Tate and Conor McGregor vs Nate Diaz. They then recap UFC Brisbane's controversial Neil Magny/Hector Lombard fight and Mark Hunt's classic one punch knock out Frank Mir. The guys honor the life of Kevin Randleman, and recap the Bellator circus between Kimbo Slice and Dada 5000. Dada's kidney failure leads to a discussion on weight cutting. The guys then preview the upcoming fights between Anderson Silva and Michael Bisping, as well as the blockbuster bouts Holly Holm vs Miesha Tate and Conor McGregor vs Rafael Dos Anjos at UFC 196.
