2020 Dec In a Soulful Spirit! Big voices and House Divas. Very NYC except one track, mostly Soulful House with some funky Deep House to keep it hopefully interesting. A couple of House classics you will recognize and a brand-new release from Sandy Rivera of KOT fame. Dropped one of my favourite soulful, funky tunes of all time, “Don't Look Any Further”, the Babysitters & Deep Criminal Remix with a massive Sax supporting the melody line. Total bliss.  But somehow slotted “Drop the Pressure” which disturbed the flow just a tad... A Faithless remix of the new Dido track and a couple of double drops for reasons still unclear. 5 years ago, 130 people were butchered in the streets of Paris, most were under 30 years old who were going to a rock concert on a friday night. Never forget, never find any excuses. Very current set with all tunes released in 2020 but two. A mostly dark progressive tone with sugar interspaced with 3/4 tunes to get you humming and moving. Possibly far too many edits and overly ambitious mashups but that’s how it felt on the night. Will resume the normal course of affair afer this set. 2020 Nov In Memoriam of Samuel Paty Samuel Paty beheaded at 32 years old for nothing else than doing the greater calling of his profession: teaching teenagers the rights and duties of future citizens. A true martyr of Free Speech. The same week, Jose Padilla of Café del Mar fame, to whom we owe the Chill Out Balearic sound passed away. This set is inspired by both. Let no one, under ANY weak, woke excuses defend the action of the murderer. And it continued in Nice and Wien. We needed a motivation to start mixing again, we found it. Best way to describe the set: Music for connaisseur (hate the English spelling).
