Jeff Glucker and Blake Z. Rong head into the Podcast Business Office to prattle on about cars. The main topic of the evening is Rong's recent participation in the Audi A3 TDI Mileage Challenge. He was tasked with driving from Albuquerque, New Mexico to San Diego... on one tank of diesel fuel. That's 824 miles of driving required. That's damn near impossible, but two teams managed to pull it off.From there the talk moves to the recent Motor Press Guild Track Day event, where Glucker got seat time in a variety of vehicles out at Willow Springs. 

Blake Z. Rong and Jeff Glucker are back together to chat about all things automotive. Rong has been off doing famous journalist things, while Jeff has been roughing it with super cars. Now though, Glucker is driving... a taxi.Also, the gang falls back into the old format with some new car chatter at the beginning before digressing into covering anything their tiny brains can think up.

Rather than take a week off, Hooniverse host Jeff Glucker decided to knock out a 30 minute episode from the cozy confines of his own house. It's just Jeff this week as he prattles on about all sorts of random car goodness. Glucker recently drove the new Aston Martin V12 Vantage S Roadster as well as the Vanquish Volante, he then mixed it up and stepped up even further by spending a weekend with the Lamborghini Aventador Roadster.The chatter ranges from the aforementioned cars to the results of the Lightning Lap, some talk of the new Viper, and even a bit about the Subaru Legacy 3.6R.

This week Blake and I are joined by Elana Scherr (@challengeher) and Brandon Gillogly of Hot Rod magazine while Jeff basks in the luxury of Southern California traffic. This week we talk about time spent at the Chrysler press event which included seat time in the Alfa Romeo 4C, Dodge Challenger Hellcat, Viper and Blake spent a little quality time with the new BMW M4.  In addition Elana and Brandon fill us in on Hot Rod Magazine Drag Week and Engine Masters competitions.

The boys are all back in town (minus one Zatch Crapman), and that means it's time to catch up on everything that they've all been up to. Blake got to check out the new ND Miata in Monterrey, and he also drove a Zero SR electric motorcycle to the podcast palace. Meanwhile, Jeff just spent a weekend with the 2014 Dodge Viper, and was also down in Baja to check out the new BFGoodrich KO2 tire.After that, the talk moves to ... well, the normal nonsense and digressions that you've come to expect.

Jeff Glucker is on the road again, and he's reporting in after spending some time in NY and Virginia. Glucker was up in NY to sample the all-new Lexus RC F, and then hopped on a plane to Virginia to sample some Volkswagen goodness.This is a special shorty episode, as it's an On The Road Again episode.

This week we reunite with an old friend Mr. Alex Roy. Alex and Blake are both fresh back from Pebble Beach where they experience all manner of automotive obscura. Blake regales us with his story of riding his Moto Guzzi to Pebble while pailing in comparison to the epic journeys of George Egloff. Alex shares his experience with Jerry Wiegert of Vector fame. Blake reviews the A3, CLA and Alfa 4C we discuss the merits of Chris Bangle's BMW designs, abysmal Viper sales, Ferrari's GT cars and of course Alex's Morgan 3 Wheeler.

This week Zach Bowman a.k.a. The Ginger Fox (@Z_Bowman) of Road & Track joins Blake and myself on his way to Pebble Beach.  We discuss the impossibly slow motorcycle journey he and Blake are about to embark on Jaguars, home built 3 wheelers, the Big Book of British Smiles, Miatas, Mitsubishi Evolutions and of course Zach's famous Project Ugly Horse.

You know Farah from The Smoking Tire, /DRIVE, his handful of appearances on this very podcast, and now, /DRIVE+.The crew dive right into it to learn about the move to a subscription-based platform for the /DRIVE video series. It's a fascinating topic right up until we're interrupted by a rather fascinating person coming into The Smoking Tire offices. Bucky Lasek temporarily stops the proceedings as Blake and Jeff go mega-fanboy for a moment.Things get back on track and Farah tells us more about the /DRIVE+ move. He has to leave to attend to Mr. Lasek (who is appearing on TST later in the evening), so Blake, Jeff, and Producer Chris get into their own cars and what they're driving to finish off the show.

Blake recently returned from the same Nashville-based Nissan event that Jeff spoke about last week, Zack was driving all over the country for a few different things includeing an IMSA race and a country-wide Rally, and Jeff's prepping for a few more adventures.The talk changes to what we've been driving, which includes the 2015 Cadillac Escalade, and a few other machines old and new.

We may occasionally rant against all-things BMW on this podcast, but deep in our dark hearts there lies a soft spot for the Bavarian beasts. This seems to be the case for Jeremy Whittle and Jason Seaver, because the pair are part of a company called Bavsound. Essentially, Bavsound is an audiophile haven aimed at making BMW vehicles a better place to listen to music.Hosts Jeff Glucker and Blake Z. Rong dive right into the chatter with the Bavsound crew to get the low down on all things automotive audio. Antti has traveled all the way from Suomi Finland for his very first visit to the states where he was welcomed by the 2014 Dodge Challenger R/T.  In this episode we spend an inordinate amount of time discussing french hot hatches, scandinavian hot rodding, semi obscure GM V6 engines, and why Finns love Camaros.
