Jesus is Knocking, Do You Accept or Ignore His Offer?

God's desire for those of us who are followers of Jesus is to move from passively experiencing God's grace to actively living into the new life we have been giving in Jesus Christ.

Only God can turn our sorrow and wailing into dancing, as Jesus' resurrection and great gift of salvation for us show.

This is the day the Lord has made Let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Trusting God Amid Chaos Is Not Easy, But It Is The Safest Place To Be

When we feel God’s absence, it does not mean God is absent, it means God is working on us.

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." As Christians, we know this to be true, but there are times we face problems that overwhelm us. It is during those times that we need to remember that God promises not that we will avoid the valleys of life, but that he will be there to walk with us through them.

When life is chaotic, it is okay to pray chaotic prayers. Sometimes you just need to start off with your prayer as David does in Psalm 35, "Contend, Lord, with those who contend with me; fight against those who fight against me." David was facing crisis, his life was chaotic, and he didn't need to waste his time putting together a nice pretty prayer for God - he needed to lift up his heart to God, to let him know exactly what was going on.

Sometimes we suffer in this world because of things that happen to us, and we have no control over them. But sometimes the suffering is the consequence of our own actions. We will see in today's sermon that God desires to give us healing and freedom from sin, but it comes at a cost: Confession and Repentance.
