It was eight years ago today that a 17-year-old by the name of Raheem Sterling was brought on for his Liverpool debut by Kenny Dalglish. In doing so, Sterling became the third youngest player in the Reds’ history, and over the next four seasons he went on to make 129 appearances for the club, underlining his status as one of the game’s brightest young talents.
