That game is analysed, as well as the Premier League victory over Bournemouth, which seems an awfully long time ago now. Post-Game: Record-breaking Reds come back to beat Bournemouth and move within three wins of the title
07/03/2020 Duration: 44minWelcome to the Post-Game podcast to react to Liverpool’s 2-1 win over Bournemouth at Anfield. It was a win that stopped the rot, if we can call it that, broke a league record, and more importantly, left the Premier League title tantalisingly close. Yes, goals from Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane ensured the Reds returned to winning ways after back-to-back defeats and sealed a 22nd straight league victory at Anfield - which beats the 21-game record set by Bill Shankly’s Liverpool side back in 1972. The Reds went on to win the league that season and, it’s fair to say, they are going to repeat the feat this season, given they need just three more victories to secure top spot. But we’re not going to get ahead of ourselves on the Post-Game podcast, just yet. Instead we’re going to focus on the comeback win over Bournemouth with our usual view from the press box, dugout and the stands. Enjoy!
