Roughing the Podcast is a Minnesota Vikings podcast, hosted by Di Murphy and Ted Glover of the SB Nation site The Daily Norseman. Once a week during the season, and once every two weeks during the off season, Di and Ted will keep you up to date with all the Vikings news in a unique, funny, and irreverent manner.

Roughing The Podcast, Episode 33: It's Duck Duck Gray Duck
12/10/2017 Duration: 01h06minDi and Ted are back with episode 33. They roll into the show talking the weirdness that is the Vikings and Bears at Soldier Field, yet they still managed to get a win. They discuss whether or not Sam Bradford should have started, when the Vikings should have pulled him, and how long Bradford will be out. They also discuss Jerick McKinnon's break out game, and whether or not Jet and Latavius Murray can come close to replacing Dalvin Cook. They also talk the good but undisciplined defense, and terrible refereeing. They moved on to Vikings news, and the murky QB situation with Teddy Bridgewater scheduled to come off the PUP List next week. Who plays, when, and if both are healthy at the same time, who do you start? From there it was to the Packers game and try and figure out how to stop Aaron Rodgers. They talk about trying to stop Aaron Rodgers, the state of the Packers roster, an a score prediction From there, it's listener questions and a show wrap up.

They continue on with a Lions preview, and who ya got: Keenum or Stafford? They predict rushing yardage totals for Dalvin Cook, the vulnerability of the Lions defense, and whether or not the Lions remind us of the 5-0 start the Vikings jumped out to last year. From there, they discuss a couple things around the NFL, namely Ezekiel Elliott and him quitting on a play fairly late in the Cowboys loss to Denver. Was it as bad as it looked, or no? On this episode, Di, Ted, and Matt try to avoid discussing the debacle that is the Minnesota Vikings as much as possible, so they review the Minnesota Gophers football scandal, and then discuss the decision of college players opting out of their team's bowl game to prepare for the NFL Draft. From there, try as they might, a discussion of the Vikings ensues. They ask several questions, most notably: was this the worst loss in the Mike Zimmer era, and has this season broken Mike Zimmer? From there, they move on to the Packers preview, and what might be the least excited Packers Week we've had in quite a long time. Finally, they wrap up the show by answering listener questions.

It was good to see the explosive plays return, but the red zone offense was still an issue. Kai Forbath was pretty good, too. From there, it's a Colts preview, and we begin by deciding the Civil War General Luck meme needs to die, painfully. From there, Di and Ted give you the keys to the game, and score predictions. Finally, they wrap up the show with listener questions, and answer why eggnog is the absolute worst holiday drink ever. Ever.

We go in depth on some impressive Cordarrelle Patterson stats, and pretty much decide we're out of ideas on the offensive line. From there, we're on to Detroit, and we discuss why this time, it'll be different and why the Vikings will win.
