11/01/2018 Duration: 11minIdeas are great but without the right strategy the idea will either never get off the ground or can take you off track really quickly from the bigger vision and mission that was talked about in part 1 of the mini series. In this, the last of the 3 part series in learning how to take the next right step in your business (or life) Kerry D and Dr M look at how important it is to have strategy and have a plan. When looking at how to take the right next step - the first thing is assess what results are you trying to achieve? Unless we know the outcomes we’re looking for (and these are tangible, measurable outcomes not the greater, longer-term vision talked about previously) how do we know whether we’ve achieved them and whether our project has been successful? Everything has a time, energy or resource cost but so often we don’t think about this when thinking about the next step to take. There may be a number of directions / tasks / projects that we could take but running them through the criteria of time, energy a

In an example of external environment, Kerry D talks about how she used to use the City Circle train line in Sydney whenever she was homesick as a backpacker to take a quick trip around Sydney harbour as a ‘mindset reset’ to remind her of why she was in Australia and doing what she was doing at the time. Dr M then talks about how in her work as a Chiropractor she works on aligning the brain/body connection to ensure the internal environment is in peak condition and ready to accept momentum.

MA 4: Recognising the next right step - Part 1 the vision and mission
14/12/2017 Duration: 11minOften our biggest source of procrastination is knowing what is the next right step to take. This episode of Momentum Architects is part 1 of a mini-series looking at how to identify and take action on the next step so you can move forward towards your goals. Kerry D and Dr M will be talking about all things vision and mission and how knowing what the end goal and outcome actually is, is the first and most vital step in moving forward. So often we do things just for the sake of it without really stopping to think about why we are doing them. If we can shift this approach and bring everything back to the vision it’s amazing how much easier decision making becomes.

MA 3: Superhero strengths vs kryptonite
30/11/2017 Duration: 11minDiscovering their own Superhero strengths has been a total game changer for Kerry D and Dr M. When they started delving deeper into understanding themselves and their unique talents this resulted them gaining massive shifts in momentum in a really short period of time and the ability to really start to push forward and kick goals like never before. In this epic episode they’ll explain how they began to harness their superhero strengths and also on the flip side why sometimes what is a natural talent becomes kryptonite. We need to stop beating ourselves up about looking at other people, trying to mimic what they’re doing and then getting really upset when we don’t get the same result. Everyone has different superhero strengths and we need to learn to use ours in the best way possible, to gain maximum results. Enjoy! And remember, global change really does start with individual momentum.

MA 2: How the biggest lessons give you the biggest learns
16/11/2017 Duration: 11minSome lessons are very hard (and often very expensive) to learn at the time. But if we can see them as opportunities and look for the learnings within them, often these are the times that will lead to our biggest growth and greatest momentum. In this episode, Kerry D and Dr M will unpack some of the biggest lessons they have learned in business over the years. Dr M will tell the story of starting a business as the GFC hit and finding that the traditional ways of doing things were no longer going to cut it. And Kerry D talks about why ‘done is better than perfect’ (a hard thing to admit for a left-handed Virgo) and why we need to get over the crippling effects of perfectionism procrastination. Although their biggest lessons on the surface were polar opposites, they have both now recognised that by understanding their innate strengths and talents they can utilise these to ensure the right level of momentum is always taken. Enjoy - and remember, your individual momentum can create global change.

Knowing why you do what you do, where you want to get to in life and what the change is that you want to make in the world is the first step in shifting gears and starting to build momentum. Because your individual momentum can create global change.
