You notice how some Disney songs are repeated later on but in a more epic/dramatic way? Those songs are called reprises, and they all "slap", as the kids would say. What are Disney movies teaching young boys about masculinity? Conversations around Disney's portrayal of gender roles usually steers towards young women and the princesses. But make no mistake, through their films Disney has said A LOT about what it means to ”be a man", from masculine body types, toxic personality traits, or their treatment of women and other "weaker" characters.
