Those are the only two options you can do, it’s either winning or losing. Being in the 3rd place is part of losing and winning. Losing because you lost the opportunity to be the best and winning because at least you made it after working so hard You don’t need to be upset because of losing, you should be grateful." says Zeyah Chua A failure is just an event. "It may back you down but it gives you an encouragement to pull yourself back up." We just keep on getting that next Shining Object Syndrome. If you really want to be successful, learn to FOCUS- Finis One Course Until Successful and then find another thing to do. John Maxwell said on his podcast "Yes we need to have goals, but we also need a growth mindset." We always do this goal mindset and once we're done doing that goal we stop. I think we need what we need to do, according to John Maxwell, is to have a growth mindset. And that's what happens to us, whether you're a therapist or caregiver or nurse or medical rep at the Philippines back home, what I did before is I hit that goal and I stopped. When I pass the board exam 1999 for the Physical Therapy Board Exam, I stopped reading books. And that m

You start with Y. O. U. R. S. E. L. F.
26/07/2019 Duration: 05minHow do I change my loved ones? How do I change jobs? How do I? I learned this from my wife, “You cannot change somebody else until you change yourself first.” And that’s what she did! She wanted me to quit smoking. She wanted me to be a better person. And you know what my wife did, instead of changing me, she changed herself. You start with Y. O. U. R. S. E. L. F. Change YOU first! People can motivate you but your habit will keep you going. There’s this thing that says “Motivation can get you started, but habits keep you going.” People can motivate you but if you’re not doing it yourself and not creating a habit for yourself, it’s not going to do you good. Verbal and Non-Verbal Signs
19/07/2019 Duration: 05minHow Do You Communicate? What do your non-verbal signs convey? Most of the time, I go to a patient, I come in, I show my verbal and non-verbal signs and it really works! What are these verbal signs that we're talking about? V.E.R.B.A.L V - VOICE What's your voice? Are you raising your voice up? lowering down your voice? Do you have a big voice? You need to learn how to do that E - ENGAGING Are you engaging with your patient? Are you engaging or connecting with that person? R- REACTIVE Are you being reactive? We don't want to be reactive, we want to be PRO-ACTIVE. In the Philippines, when I was working as a Medical Representative, we have this conference and we called it PRO-ACT. Tell me I Forget, Teach me I Remember, Involve me, I Understand
05/07/2019 Duration: 05minI attended a certification course called Certified Online Training Professional. One of the Speaker there said, “Tell me I Forget, Teach me I Remember, Involve me, I Understand” something like that. Same thing with our Dementia patient. And I just realized that, if you’re telling a patient or a person that has Dementia and you’re telling, you’re telling, you’re telling that, they’ll forget that. Teach them, they’ll remember it but if you involve them in the activity, involve them in the staff that you’re trying to do they’ll understand it. I know some patients can’t understand it because they have problems in Dementia, but in general, in life, this is what we need to do anyway. If you’re telling somebody a procedure, they’ll probably forget that. But if you teach them how to do it, what to do it, they’re probably going to remember it. When you involve them and let them do it on themselves they going to understand that. And that’s the purpose of this group, this page, wanting for you to understand
