Progressive Voices

It’s been a long, often divisive 247 years since the United States declared its independence from Great Britain. Much of the life of our nation has been lived in harmony, but an equal amount, or at least so it seems, have been lived in division. We have been divided by race, religion, geography, vocation, education, and political philosophy, yet we persist. Today’s essay addresses our differences and looks hopefully toward our united future.
