DEPLORABLES SPEAK; Death Wish in USA; 10 Minutes of Terror Karel Cast 24-8 We knew Trump was going to win Iowa. But the 2nd place going to Desantis speaks volumes about who these people really are, and the answer is that Hillary was right. They are truly deplorable. Went to get labs drawn today at Urgent Care, no one was in a mask, even the people checking in that had clear Covid/RSV/Flu symptoms. No one in the lobby, waiting, either. I did. Why does America have a death wish. We won't mask up for a disease, stop gun violence, help the planet with global climate change. It's like we want to die. • A Turning Point - Say What?

    16/01/2024 Duration: 05min

Nikki Haley couldn’t bring herself to say that slavery was the cause of the Civil War, and she can’t bring herself to say that Donald Trump is unfit for office, which to me makes her either to afraid or too calculating to be president. And the lies march on, with things like the conspiracy theory that the FBI planned and started the January 6th insurrection. It goes on, but I keep it short in this audio essay. I hope you’ll listen.

IOWA DEBACLE; Straws That Break Backs; Vegan DIet rules Karel Cast 24-7 A group of Republican corn farmers and rural Americans are going to brave freezing cold to participate in an odd voting ritual to…vote for a Maga Criminal. Shame on Iowa, and shame on the process for letting it happen. But so what? We already know who the Republican nominee is going to be so why is this news? What do you do when you meet someone and discover their world views are simply not yours, but they otherwise seem like a nice person? Are they, if they say and do things you oppose? And when do you finally look at a friend and realize, they're really NOT? Twins. Two diets, one vegan, one not. The results are shaking up the diet industry and the meat and dairy corporation don't know what to do. Of course, they'll argue with science, again. He and Leslie then chat about not one but two(!!) new books on companies that have started up making apparel in the U.S. over the past decade. Both of these books--'Making It in America,' available now--and 'American Flannel'—available in March—are worth a read. Finally, Scott shares why he's more than a little worried by China’s rise in automobile production, and why he believes it’s an existential threat to American manufacturing jobs. For over 16 years, Scott Paul and AAM have worked to make American manufacturing a top-of-mind issue for voters and our national leaders through effective advocacy, innovative research, and a savvy public rela
