During the 2025 Legislative General Session, Utah lawmakers expanded the free lunch program available to the state's elementary school children. One concern from lawmakers now... is the amount of uneaten food. State Representative Tiara Auxier thinks there's a lot of uneaten food because students don't have enough time to properly eat their lunch.
