Is your motor running? That's the question I challenge you to think about, and I also wonder what kind of fuel that your are putting in the engine of your life, career, and business.  Lots of metaphors; and these are some good ones to help you in your entrepreneurial life and spirit.  And let's help each other keep our motor running.  

It might tick you off, but sorry it's true - Donald Trump is right … you need to do a lot of firing in this world, and often the person you need to fire is you.  I fired myself for seven days and went of the air and i am back but on probation. So here is that story for you and your consideration, and I share with you a great consulting secret which I call The Missing Question!  Let me tell you about this on our new 4M show - Monday Morning Motivation in the Marketplace.

I have failed at many things, and have been living in deep shame at some of my failures.  That is part of the pain that I shared on Tuesday's Episode…So let me give you some idea how I got into these failure messes, and why some people have not.  Many of these good folks have not because they are just plain smarter, braver, and more accomplished than me.  Some of them have had a run of good luck and fortunate breaks.   But some who have not failed or seldom failed, have really failed, and perhaps failed badly…. here is the irony and the paradox, even double paradox -  If you have a lot of failures in your life you will probably not be a failure.  but if you have none or few failures in your life… you probably are a failure.   I think i know a few folks like that, maybe many, maybe you… so join with me as I try to get some clarity about failure on our WiT Radio Episode today.

Please allow me, give me permission and your pleasure, to talk about pain.   One of my mentors and friends made a powerful statement that I share in the program   … "If pain were water __________!"  This weekend I  was not in pain, but I have been on many many occasions and so have most of you.  But it seems now that the subject is more vital than ever, and if we are going to have and do what it takes to make it in the marketplace today … we better learn how to deal with pain, and learn how to lean on those people, skills, understandings, and spiritual powers, that can, indeed help us do it right in spite of the pain.     Please accept the challenge of listening, thinking, and responding.
