18/06/2019 Duration: 43minThe past is history The future a mystery All we have is NOW! The NOW, The Present Moment, Being in the Moment, Being Present, FLOW, are just a few examples of how to describe this phenomenon. The importance of this subject cannot be adequately measured. Living in the NOW is being in the FLOW, where ideas, opportunities and people come into our lives and we live life with more ease and joy. Mindfulness and meditation have been touted as two methods for staying in the present moment. However, when the mind works overtime our thoughts tend to take us to the past to languish in sorrow and regret or to a fearful future resulting all too often in sadness and a constricted heart. My guest, Penny Cohen and I will discuss not only the benefits of living in the NOW, but also practical tools to help keep us there and also why the present moment enables us to realize all the benefits that life can offer. Your calls, questions and comments are always welcome. Call-in number: (646) 716-

The Game of Life with Penny Cohen, LCSW
31/07/2018 Duration: 31minTHE GAME OF LIFE w/ith PENNY COHEN, LCSW While it may perhaps sound like calling life a game is to trivialize it and to risk sounding callus and uncaring, this could not be further from the truth. We as humans play many types of games in life, some harmless and banal and some that can have serious and even fatal consequences. As we ascend the scale of more serious games we discover those with steeper and steeper costs. You risk injury in many sports and financial loss when indulging in games of chance. War, to examine an extreme example with fatal consequences, may at first be thought of as something else, but it is also comprised of all the elements of a game: rules, goals, strategy, chance, outcomes, gain and loss to name the most obvious ones. Then there is the mating game, one's career and that of survival for not only ourselves but for all the creatures that inhabit the earth.

In addition, we hope to add some interesting and perhaps even entertaining anecdotes from the many combined years that my guest and I have spent doing our part in raising our families, including our experiences with our grandchildren.

21/02/2017 Duration: 35minMAINTAINING RELATIONSHIPS: WHY THEY FAIL AND HOW TO MAKE THEM FLOURISH with PENNY COHEN, LCSW Penny Cohen is a transformational psychotherapist, relationship counselor and the author of “Personal Kabbalah: 32 Paths To Inner Peace & Life Purpose.” Find her at www.pennycohen.com. Relationships are very complex entities and there are many reasons why they fail. Whether the relationship is in business, a close friendship or a romantic one, including marriage, expectations are an important dynamic. Since relationships often end due to the dissatisfaction of one or both parties with the performance of the other, expectations are the key parameter. Another key reason romantic relationships fail is the inability of one or both parties to reach a stage of emotional intimacy. In the book “Games People Play,” by Dr. Eric Berne, the author describes different stages of the relationship of couples. The ultimate stage is that of emotional intimacy but unfortunately most couples never reach that goal. Most co

It’s All One Thing with Penny Cohen, LCSW
07/02/2017 Duration: 35minIT’S ALL ONE THING: WHY THE “REAL” & SPIRITUAL REALMS TOGETHER DEFINE OUR WORLDLY EXPERIENCE with PENNY COHEN, LCSW According to Albert Einstein, “There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.” We live in a world and universe that exists in an all inclusive context of duality which is dominated by Time and Space. And because this duality exists we often believe we need to choose between two opposing phenomena. Throughout my life, experience has shown me that rather than having to choose, it is better to strive to strike a balance between the two. In this regard, we will discuss how and why an individual can best utilize his or her spiritual senses in relation to their daily lives in order to maximize their ability to function at the highest level possible.

If God Exists, Why Is There So Much Suffering In The World? with Penny Cohen
26/07/2016 Duration: 33minIF GOD EXISTS, WHY IS THERE SO MUCH SUFFERING IN THE WORLD? with PENNY COHEN, LCSW How often have peoples' belief in God hinged on the question of how a God of love and compassion could allow so much pain, suffering and evil to exist in our world? And no doubt even those of faith must wonder at times, especially in times like theses, how and why an all powerful God would permit such extreme horrors to be inflicted on good people and especially the helpless and innocent of this world. Who Are You? Who Am I? Understanding Personality Types with Paul Morris
19/07/2016 Duration: 33minWho Are You? Who Am I? Understanding Personality Types with Paul Morris? From as far back as 400 BC the ancient Greek philosophers have been codifying personality types. The Greeks used terms like Sanguine, Choleric, Melancholic, and Phlegmatic to describe what they called the four fundamental bodily humours or fluids, where an imbalance and dominance of one or the other would tend to create a different personality type. Other systems like Myers Briggs, based on Jungian archetypes exist as well and are most often encountered in corporate HR departments. I will be using a method illustrated by the diagram shown above with four personality types called Driver, Expressive, Amiable and Analytical. This analysis is most often taught in sales training courses for understanding the personality type of the prospect so as to facilitate communication between them and the sales representative. But even if you are not in sales, understanding these types that represent significant individuals in your life an those

Learning Life Lessons with Penny Cohen, LCSW
05/07/2016 Duration: 38minLearning Life Lessons with Penny Cohen, LCSW It is said that we need to learn life lessons? What does that mean anyway? Some say the Earth is life's school where these lessons can be learned. And, if so, how do we determine them? A hint to the answer is in understanding why the "squeekiest wheel" usually gets oiled first, meaning, the things that bother us the most may just contain the lessons that need to be learned the most. ---------------------- Penny Cohen is a transformational psychotherapist, relationship counselor and the author of “Personal Kabbalah: 32 Paths To Inner Peace & Life Purpose.” Find her @ www.pennycohen.com. "The Sunny Side of Your Mind" with Paul Morris, EHP
17/05/2016 Duration: 30min"THE SUNNY SIDE OF YOUR MIND:" FIVE STEPS TOWARDS IMPROVING YOUR MOOD with PAUL MORRIS, EHP The realization that I have finally come to after living more decades than I enjoy admitting to is that “mood conquers all.” I used to think, believe and accept that a bad or dark mood was the direct result of my circumstances and until and unless this was changed, I had no choice but to suffer the consequence of my current life situation. This lead me, in my younger days, to seeking out venues where I could drink and party to boost my mood or think of the “magic scheme” that would free me from my roller-coaster like emotional ride. Then one day, when my partying days were over, I learned the truth about ones mood. That truth is that mood, for the most part, is not so much controlled by ones circumstances, which we cannot often control, but by ones thoughts, which we can. Please tune in to the live broadcast or archive to learn more about the importance of and the ease at which you can control your moods. Paul
