In that spirit, and the spirit of the amazing youth effort that made Barack Obama president, DFA is dedicating this month's Night School to Campus Organizing.Join us Wednesday September 23th at 8:30 PM EST. This month we are changing up the format, as we will be joined by a panel of talented youth organizers from around the country. The panel will cover electoral organizing, issue organizing, and coalition building on campus. More importantly we will be discussing both the benefits and shortfalls of campus organizing, and trading best practices. You are not going to want to miss this. An hour for DFA Training alumni to share stories and opportunities for the coming year.

On Wednesday June 24th DFA is back at it with another Night School. This month we will cover the all important topic of Candidate Recruitment. Believe it or not its already time to begin the search for next cycle's Democratic talent. This is not necessarily an intuitive process-don’t worry we are here to help.This month we will be joined by South Carolina Democratic Party Executive Director, and DFA Trainer, Jay Parmley. On the call Jay will walk us through the process of targeting districts/races through research, scouting candidates, setting expectations, and offering up infrastructural resources and incentives.So gather your friends, and local party activist, and tune in Wednesday June 24th to learn how to recruit a progressive Democrat to run in a district near you.

This May DFA Night School will focus on refining our skills at one of the most important aspects of our Democracy: The citizen - legislator meeting.This summer DFA is going to launch a massive citizen lobbying campaign to pressure congress into adopting a 'public option' in any health care reform. Join this hour long online training with Gov. Dean and several other guest trainers to learn how you can set up an effective citizen lobbying campaign in your area.
