This is the most common lament I have heard my colleagues on the front lines use. I couldn’t quite put my finger on what it was that was bothering me about this. Then it hit me. • Episode 27 - Role of Primary Care in Suicide Prevention During the COVID-19 Pandemic

    21/11/2020 Duration: 30min

Role of Primary Care in Suicide Prevention During the COVID-19 Pandemic Authors are: Pamela Anne Nelson and Susie M. Adams Abstract Primary care providers have an important role in suicide prevention, knowing that among people who die by suicide, 83% have visited a primary care provider in the prior year, and 50% have visited that provider within 30 days of their death, rather than a psychiatrist. The psychosocial impact of the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic poses increased risk for suicide and other mental health disorders for months and years ahead. This article focuses on screening tools, identification of the potentially suicidal patient in the primary care setting, and a specific focus on suicide prevention during widespread, devastating events, such as a pandemic. 17/10/2020 Duration: 06min

What Is Lymphatic Drainage Massage and Why You Need to Try It Article By: Robin Jillson "Lymphatic drainage is a therapeutic massage (https://www.zeel.com/blog/massage/what-is-lymphatic-drainage-massage/) treatment. The massage uses very light pressure and long, gentle, rhythmic strokes to increase the flow of lymph and reduce toxins in your body. The lymph system is part of your body's immune system and helps fight infection. Lymph itself is a clear, slightly yellow fluid. It transports nutrients and oxygen to cells, collecting toxins on the way and flushing them out through the lymph nodes. You have around twice as many lymph vessels as blood vessels in your body. However, unlike blood, which is pumped around by your heart, the lymph system has no pump. The pressure from your blood vessels and movement from your muscles push the lymphatic fluid around"(The Good Spa Guide, 2013).   Gumbo Educational Services believes in: Sharing knowledge and educating those in the community for a healthier stronger safer co
