My Biggest Lessons and Takeaways of 2022
28/12/2022 Duration: 30minHow did your business do in 2022?I’ve had some pretty big lessons and takeaways during this year and in this episode of Art of Online Business, I want to share them with you. As a result of these lessons, I have some plans for how I’m going to be moving forward in 2023, and I’ll be sharing those in the next episode. To be honest, this year wasn’t as strong of a year in business as last year, and I learned a lot from it. A big one is that you need to be consistently planting seeds, or marketing, whether things are going well in your business or not. Aside from this podcast, I didn’t do as much marketing, and that taught me a lot. You can’t control what happens in your business, but you can control your thoughts about it and what you do with the lessons you learn. I’m sharing more about this lesson and the others that I had this year so that you can see how I’m planning to move forward in my business and start the next year off strong. In this episode, you’ll learn:What I learned from my health emergencyWhy you

KPIs for Your Support Team: Measuring the "Unmeasurable" | w/ Erika Macauley
14/12/2022 Duration: 57minOne of the biggest shifts I made in my business as a leader and CEO is when I went from being a task assigner to assigning ownership of results. This was a huge “a-ha” moment for me. You can’t grow your business if all you’re doing is assigning tasks. You have to be able to assign ownership to specific people on your team. With that, you’re going to want to have specific KPIs or success metrics that you’re watching. Sometimes they’re easy to determine, but there are some positions on our team that aren’t as easily attributable to revenue or profit. So today on Art of Online Business, I sat down with Erica Macauley to talk about how we can determine success metrics for those support roles in your business. This is critical if you want to shift from a day-to-day entrepreneur to the leader and CEO of your business. Erika is a systems slayer, chaos coordinator, Trello evangelist, and pretty dang good at whipping the back end of businesses into shape. She’s an OBM, integrator, and project manager who works with 6

How (and Why) to Choose the Right Coach or Mentor
02/11/2022 Duration: 54minWhen it comes to investing in a coach or a coaching program, I used to get stuck in short-term thinking when I was considering the investment because I had coaches before. What I'm Doing to INCREASE Email Opt-Outs During Promotions
21/10/2022 Duration: 11minOur email list is the only thing that is really ours. Facebook can go away tomorrow. Instagram and TikTok are the same. The only thing we have full control over is our email list, and we have to respect that. In this quick tip episode of Art of Online Business, I’m sharing what I do to increase opt-outs during my promotions. It may seem counterintuitive, but I don’t want to show up for my email list doing only promotions. I want to sprinkle it in while I primarily lead with value. I highly recommend that everyone view their email marketing through the lens of their values. In my business, we prioritize making people-based decisions, not just profit-based decisions. People are on your email list for a reason, not to be sold to all the time. I respect my email list so much so it’s very important for me to give them the option to opt out of promotions. By doing this for your promotions as well, you’ll build trust, gain appreciation, and create deeper relationships with your audience. In this episode, you’ll learn
