In this very special episode, we take a detour into Erok’s dominion, Castle Hellhammer after seeing The Sword for free (spoiler - we left early because it was boring). In this five minutesof the the movie, Eddie dresses up and acts like a weirdo. We wonder about Ragman’s sexuality and accidentally get pretty un-P.C. for a second. Bitchflip Genie listens to the deadly tape that causes extreme arousal. Bobby makes Erok uncomfortable talking about Tim’s sexual prowess. Later, Bobby dives head first into Norwegian Black Metal and gives his initial impressions of the most infamous bands from the early days. It’s an incredibly vital and informative episode not to be missed!

In this episode, they talk about the infamous shop class scene and cover all the records that Eddie's mom looks through when she's in his room. The boys debate which song is better - Metallica "Four Horsemen" or Megadeth "Mechanix". Bobby also mentions a recent encounter with Dave Mustaine where he thought the legendary Megadeth front man was an old woman.

Sweet Time and Bobby Hazzard are back to discuss the first Ramones album of the 80's, Pleasant Dreams. This record is very divisive subject among hardcore fans. The boys cover the highs and lows of the album and all the personal problems behind the scenes.

In this episode, Bobby and Erok not only talk about another five minutes of Trick Or Treat, but they also discuss getting into punk rock and extreme metal when they were youngsters. Bobby goes on a long tirade about his dislike of all things involving Wayne Coyne after trying the new Flaming Lips beer, Dragons & Yum Yums. The boys also discuss a theory on Eddie's absentee father and break into some Twinkies. All this and more on Episode 6!

As every hard-rock-and-horror-lovin’ soul knows, there’s a void in the musical fabric that can only be filled by a new Alice Cooper album. Whether the results are a stud or a dud, there’s a shiver of anticipation that runs spider-like down our spines when fresh tunes are spun out from Alice’s web, as we hope to be snagged and drawn up into that dark lair of rage, rancor and riffs that is the mind of Alice Cooper. So it was with the arrival of PARANORMAL in the summer of 2017, coming as it did on the heels of an Alice tour that saw him reunite for a couple of brief, barnstorming sets in Nashville, Tennessee with his cronies from the great Alice Cooper Band. After a year of threatening to do a Ramones podcast, Sweet Time and Bobby Hazzard are together again for Beat On The Cast. In our first episode, the boys discuss the often overlooked Brain Drain. It's a milestone record with the exit of Dee Dee, Marky returns, and CJ comes in after the fact. The effects of this record on young Sweet Time Bobby are discussed as well as MTV crushes, odd people in volved in Brain Drain's production, and favorite Ramones drummers.

In this episode, Bobby and Erok tackle the pool scene and the aftermath from Trick Or Treat. They also toast to the passing of the legendary Fast Eddie Clarke and briefly cover times when they got bullied in school. Bobby tells an embarrassing story about a fight he had in middle school that involved bad kung fu kicks and bull whips. Erok has a very special plot theory involving the resurrection of Sammi Curr. And as an added post show bonus, the boys do a play through of the W.A.S.P video "L.O.V.E. Machine" video for everybody to follow along with at home.

Ragman visits radio dj, Nuke (aka Gene Simmons) to talk about Sammi and then later at high school his best friend Roger makes his first appearance and Leslie invites Eddie to a pool party. The boys also discuss Gene Simmons' questionable business moves in the past and the present as well as what his worst songs were from the makeup-less mid 80's. They also talk about the mystery band that plays "Scream Until You Like It" in the radio studio. Hint: it's not W.A.S.P.

Erok Hellhammer and Bobby Hazzard wax nostalgia-like five minutes at a time about the 1986 heavy metal horror classic Trick Or Treat. In this first installment, we discuss everything on Mark Price aka Ragman's shelves in the opening credits. We give a brief history of the band Fastway and our love for their early records. The mystery of the band in the black and white poster in Ragman's room with the Sphincter name is solved. We geek out about the book Satanic Panic and how this film was influenced by Nightmare On Elm Street 2. The name of the unknown demon on the vhs cover is also revealed and what his part was supposed to be in the movie.

The Bloodbags return! In this episode, Bobby and Mrs. Hazzard talk to the boys about this year's US tour and their two new 7"s. They also discuss the aftermath of the previous nite's podcast with Magic Factory. Bobby is put on the spot to name his five favorite soundtracks. Bloodbags get to experience Judas Priest covering Johnny B. Goode for the first time. Andrew discusses his old record labels, Kato and Perpetrator, and gives a brief history of the legendary New Zealand artist, Tape Man. They wind down the conversation with a round table discussion of everyone's favorite bands at Gonerfest 14.

In this special two part Gonerfest Hangover edition of I Hate Music, Bobby interviews Matt and Rory from the New Zealand band, Magic Factory. For you long time listeners, this is Rory's third on SB4E. He was also in last year's Bloodbags episode of I Hate Music and with Cool Runnings on Spring Break Forever (all in the archives). Alice, Dennis, Michael & Neil seem to be having a grand ol’ time together, recording some new material for Alice’s new studio release and getting all of us to cross our fingers in hopes of a full reunion tour.                 With that in mind, it seemed topical and sensible to do a show that spotlights the time when Alice and the band had freshly parted ways. It’s never typically a bad thing to hear the words “Alice Cooper” and “concept album” conjoined; after all, the Theatrical One has worked in that long-form genre perhaps more than any popular artist with the possible exception of The Kinks. As we here on COOPERCAST complete our examination of Alice’s studio albums to date, we find him delivering not one but TWO concept-ers. The first, 2008’s ALONG CAME A SPIDER, is such an obvious and natural idea – Alice inhabiting the mind and motivations of a particularly delusional serial killer – it’s surprising it took so long to happen. The second is remarkable for the ballsy-ness of the idea: WELCOME 2 MY NIGHTMARE is nothing less than a sequel to Alice’s career-defining, iconic first solo album. Think of it as though Pink Floyd attempted a sequel to THE WALL, or if The Who had tried a follow-up to QUADROPHENIA and you understand how daring this idea was, and likely to be scrutinized heavier than any of Alice’s previous work. What did we want from Alice? Well, to be that gleefully sinister, morbidly funny, eternally juvenile perverted tempter of our rock ‘n’ rolling souls again, of course. Maybe this time, without so much self-destructive boozing and drugging. And whether Alice heard us, or just some inner voice, his first two studio albums of the new century, THE EYES OF ALICE COOPER and DIRTY DIAMONDS gives us exactly that! No more Mr. Preachy Industrial Grungy Whatever’s Trending Guy; with these albums, Alice gets back to his roots, and the results, if not instant classics, are pretty satisfying. Some tracks recall the glory days of the Alice Cooper Band and Cooper’s first solo efforts with Bob Ezrin, and like new bassist Chuck Garric, the production’s all lean with very little fat. Best of all, Alice is FUNNY again, with some classic laugh-out-loud lyrics.                 We’ll even forgive him the “grab for relevancy” by having Xzibit doing a guest spot. Hey, it could have been worse: it could have been Kid Rock.
