  • Prophet, Priest, and King, Pt. 4 - Christ the Priest

    15/11/2020 Duration: 47min

Pastor Marc Sharp continues the series on the prophet, priest and king. So far, Pastor Marc has looked at the role and function of Old Testament prophets and priests, and shown how their lives and ministries pointed forward to Christ Jesus. Today's message closely examines how Jesus perfectly fulfills the priesthood, relegating Old Testament priests to merely a shadow of his reality. Jesus Christ is our great High Priest, replacing all other priests by proving them to be ineffective for our salvation, making them unnecessary and obsolete. • Youthenasia

    08/11/2020 Duration: 44min

Youth vs. aged - an "age old" struggle! It seems today's culture around the world, and especially in America, exalts younger folks over more mature or elderly people. How does the Bible weigh in on this? In today's message, Elder Paul Landers brings a very insightful word of warnings, advice, and commands from scripture addressing this subject. • God Rules Over All

    01/11/2020 Duration: 47min

Today's message by Pastor Marc Sharp is brought to you from his home while he is temporarily in quarantine due to the covid virus. It's especially important to remember during these unusual times of pandemic and politics that our God still reigns and Jesus still has all power and authority over heaven and earth. Do our lives as Christians reflect that truth to those around us? Pastor Marc's timely message is both uplifting and challenging. • Prophet, Priest, and King, Pt. 3 - The Priests

    25/10/2020 Duration: 47min

The message today continues the series on the prophet, priest and king. So far, Pastor Marc Sharp has looked at the role and function of Old Testament prophets, and shown how their lives and ministries pointed forward to Christ Jesus. Today, looking at the Old Testament, Pastor Marc describes how the functions of prophet and priest (as well as king) often overlap, but are still distinct. For example, the priest’s ministry involved making intercession for the people before God, similar to what the prophets did, but operating differently. They stood as God’s human representative before the people and presented the people’s needs and petitions before the presence of God. 12/10/2020 Duration: 47min

This week, Pastor Marc Sharp begins a new series examining the prophet, priest and king in the Bible, looking at what purpose they served and how Jesus Christ fulfills each of these roles as our Redeemer. 05/10/2020 Duration: 57min

Today, Pastor Marc Sharp concludes a short series about generosity. Generosity is central to God’s loving nature (demonstrated by creation; proven by giving Christ to be the redeeming sacrifice for sin). The life of a genuine Christ follower mirrors God, being marked by generosity. Generosity is inherent to true belief. • Generous God, Faith, and Obedience

    27/09/2020 Duration: 57min

Previously, Pastor Marc Sharp looked at how God is a generous God and is the source of everything good in the life of every creature on the earth we inhabit. We should never stop thanking God for his good provision for our daily needs of food and shelter, or for his eternal provision of justification, sanctification, and glorification through Christ. However, in today's message, Pastor Marc speaks of a God who not only provides the things we all need generally, but also provides for us individually and specifically. • Vessels of Mercy for God's Glory

    21/09/2020 Duration: 42min

Today's message is not the usual sermon. Elder Paul Landers and Pastor David Walt share their hearts with a fresh word from God leading to corporate prayer. Paul talks about God's glory and the "name above all names" - Jesus! Pastor Dave speaks of mercy. We follow a God who is rich in mercy and we are called to be like him. The story of the Good Samaritan provides insight. Both Paul and Dave deliver words very appropriate for the days we live in. • Generous God

    13/09/2020 Duration: 56min

We serve a God who is generous and dependable. The Bible reveals that giving generously is always God's habit. In today's message, Pastor Marc Sharp talks about the fact that our Heavenly Father, who created everything for his pleasure and his glory, cannot help but give it away generously to the least deserving, without being anxious or nervous. God never changes and is always generous with his people. Those who know the living God have no need to worry or fear! • Discernment

    07/09/2020 Duration: 56min

Previously, Pastor Marc Sharp talked about the parameters of how a Christian should make assessments of others. Another way to say this is “how are Christians to judge?" In today's message, the other side of this equation is tackled. This side is called “discernment”. Why do we confuse good and evil, light and darkness, sweet and bitter when we’ve been given scripture, the Holy Spirit, and the fellowship of the church to help us rightly judge? • To Judge or Not to Judge

    31/08/2020 Duration: 47min

There’s a lot of confusion in the church (and in a culture that constantly criticizes the church) on the topic of judging others. Christians are generally accused of being highly judgmental towards others. But is this true? And are there times when we should judge, even strictly? If so, what are the parameters of that judgement? Pastor Marc Sharp provides answers and clarification in today's message. • Jonah, Part 4, Disappointed with the God of Grace

    23/08/2020 Duration: 54min

Today, Pastor Marc Sharp concludes the story of Jonah, the prophet God sent to the city of Nineveh to warn the residents of impending doom and destruction. Did Jonah offer them the hope of grace and forgiveness, and how did the Ninevites receive his message? Was Jonah pleased with their response? Pastor Marc offers timely lessons for us today from this interesting story. • Jonah, Part 3, A Challenge to the Maladjusted

    16/08/2020 Duration: 54min

Guest speaker, Tom Hall, delivers a very timely and effective message for the church today as he continues the current series from the book of Jonah. An alternate title for this sermon is "The Privilege of Repentance". The people of Nineveh in Jonah's time give us an example of what repentance should look like. Another word for repent is adjust, which adds another dimension to the meaning. Repentance is not always 180 degrees, but may be frequent small adjustments as we listen to God speaking. Learn from the Ninevites - we can't let pagans out repent us! • Jonah, Part 2, The Sign of Jonah

    10/08/2020 Duration: 46min

Pastor Marc Sharp continues the story of Jonah and how it relates to people today. God didn’t send a fish to destroy Jonah, but to save him. He had thumbed his nose in the face of God, and yet God rescued him from an impossible situation, through a miracle. Jonah is a mirror! We are all Jonah. Through impurity, self will, deceit, greed, impatience, hatred, and unforgiveness, we’ve thumbed our nose at God. But because of mercy, he provided a rescue - Jesus. Salvation belongs to the Lord! • Jonah, Part 1, Sovereign God

    02/08/2020 Duration: 47min

Almost everybody has heard the story of Jonah. But what does it say to 21st Century adults? What can an old Jewish story of an ancient prophet teach us about ourselves and Jesus, our savior? Pastor Marc Sharp answers these questions and more in today's message. • What Do These Stones Mean To You?

    26/07/2020 Duration: 39min

Pastor Marc Sharp's message today is about piling up stones...what? By the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Alabama is a simple pile of large granite stones on which is etched the Bible passage for today : “When your children shall ask you in the time to come, saying, What mean these stones? Then you shall tell them how you made it over.” A testimony of hard times and struggle. Testimonies are not free - they are costly, often coming through pain, persecution, trial, or warfare. But even so, God answers prayer, brings deliverance, and rains down mercy all the time. When he does, it’s important for us to pile up stones, so that we can remember and point back to them, praising God for his faithfulness. Do you have piled up stones in your life? • Trial Run

    19/07/2020 Duration: 47min

Today's message is by Elder candidate Paul Landers from the gospel books of Matthew, Mark, and Luke where Jesus sends his disciples out on a "trial run" to proclaim the good news of the kingdom of God. They were commissioned to announce salvation and to demonstrate power and authority over demons, sickness, and physical needs. Were they successful? Are we to do likewise? • Unbelievable Unbelief

    12/07/2020 Duration: 46min

Today's message by Elder candidate Paul Landers is a very relevant insight from the great Gospel of Mark book in the New Testament. Jesus performed a lot of miracles and taught the people with authority. Why did some of the people gladly receive what he said and believed who he was, while others just could not accept him or his word? We have the same issues in our world today. • The Way To Go

    05/07/2020 Duration: 45min

All of us once wandered in the barren wastes of sin before Jesus rescued us. The old life had to die in that desolate place before we could enter into the life of promise. The gospel requires that we must die to the old kind of life in order to begin a new, eternal life. Listen to today's message from Pastor Marc Sharp as he discusses how to proceed on our journey. Will we fear the giants that inhabit the land, or will we trust the God who rescued us from slavery and defeated our enemies: sin, death and the devil?
