Our industry is moving, and it’s changing fast. Today we are talking about the newest social media app from Instagram (which you’ve most likely already heard about!) called Threads. Threads just came out less than 24 hours before I hit record, but I want you to understand where this app came from and how it came to be, plus my initial thoughts on it. I used to talk a lot about mindset, the power of thought and other more abstract topics, but with everything that has happened in the world over the past few years and with us all having to adapt quickly, I shifted the focus of the podcast to be more strategic in nature. Burnout is a pain point that a lot of us are going through, myself included, but to be honest I went back and forth on recording this episode. I’m anti-burnout and all for balance in our lives, but what I kept noticing is that there seems to be a lack of burnout prevention, with most people talking about what to do after you find yourself in this situation. More often than not, when most salon owners decide that they no longer want to be an owner, they walk away and the salon just closes its doors.
