How to be Proactive in Business During Brexit Uncertainty
12/09/2019 Duration: 12minIn this episode of the Business Mentor podcast Jay discusses his thought on Brexit and how it’s going to affect business. He also gives some tips and advice on how to prepare for big changes that will affect business such as Brexit. KEY TAKEAWAYS 3 years ago I didn’t believe that people would vote Brexit. Think long term about your business decisions and think about your businesses strategy before you make any decisions. The property market will pick back up again so think long term and you never know what’s going to happen so look at your own strategy and where you are then make decisions based on what your circumstances are. Look at the opportunity that Brexit is going to bring rather than the negatives. Look at what other investors are doing especially people like Warren Buffet. Watch what your mentors are and aren’t doing and replicate them. There are so many amazing platforms now that are free where you can get information out there easily. Don’t wait for things to happen

Which is The Best Business Model to Build?
05/09/2019 Duration: 11minJay discusses the business model that he believes is generally the best at the moment and why. One of the main reason for having a reoccurring business model is because it makes your business more attractive to investors or people who may want to buy your business. You could introduce this model to your current model too without having to start over. Listen to this episode to find out more! KEY TAKEAWAYS The most lucrative models on the market are reoccurring. E.g. Netflix. This is much like a subscription based model where their revenue is monthly. These often charge less money however are generating monthly revenue. Having a reoccurring business model made the business a lot more attractive to buyers than having a model where our revenue came from constant of off deals. The other models do work and can work really well but over all in general the best model, I would say, is the reoccurring. Check out the 30-day business chall

Top Tips to make your new business a success…
22/08/2019 Duration: 16minTime and time again there are people who don’t make the effort to begin with and don’t do their due diligence before jumping into the deep end when starting a business. They usually end up wasting a lot of time and money, here are tips on how to avoid this issue… KEY TAKEAWAYS If you think of this amazing idea, ensure what you’re thinking is really what the customer will like or want a lot too. Have an idea where you know there are clients and customers that will definitely buy your products or services. You can do this by ensuring you’ve done all your market research. Work within the industry first or work alongside someone who has loads of experience in that market before you take the jump with your own idea. If you’re looking to open up a hairdressing salon and don’t have any experience, then you should rent per chair so you don’t have to hire any people yourself. Run some ads in the area on social media to see how high the demand is first. Don&rsquo

Don't Use Social Media& Fake News as a Metric
15/08/2019 Duration: 07minJay’s finding that lots of people are asking him similar questions, on of which is how to use social media. In this episode of The Business Mentor podcast Jay answers this popular question and expresses the importance of focusing on yourself and your journey rather than those of other peoples. KEY TAKEAWAYS Social media is a great platform but don’t believe everything you see. People on there want engagement and attention. I look to inspire other people on social media. Don’t look at social media as an indication of your performance because people often fake how their life really is on there. They don’t tell you about their problems and issues they may be having. Don’t look at social media and think because you don’t have the same success as someone on there, you’re failing. Look at where you are now and think about what you can change right now for yourself to get to where you want to be. Break down the steps and make
