In this episode I sit down with Justin Ponder, a dynamic millennial voice, out of the sunshine state of Florida.  He shares how music was his gateway into ministry, and why it's important that every minister of the gospel finds their own unique voice.  

In this episode of SM Radio I had the pleasure of speaking with Anthony “AJ” Jefferson (@aj_chosen) Of course I inquired about his salvation story and his view in the current state of the church BUT the conversation got real interesting when discussed the intricacies of the gospel music industry. What it means to stay true to the message of the gospel and what it looks like to simply be meeting the demands of a record label. 

In this interview with the Purpose Cultivator, Yah Hughes, it gets real!  As we continue in our mini series about relationships, it's important that we take a minute to reflect on our relationship with ourselves.  Why?  Well, if we aren't secure in our identity and we're carrying around a bunch of mess....How we gone do ministry?   It's a fair question right?  Me and Yah had lots of laughs, but we got into some serious conversation about ridding ourselves of toxic behavior and thoughts.  She shares her salvation story and how her relationship with God has shaped who she is today! 

Season 2 of SM Radio is LIVE with an incredible series about relationships!  In Episode 1 of Season 2, I had the awesome pleasure of speaking with Pastors William and Ebonie Scarborough!  This millennial power couple has been together for nearly 15 years and share a wealth of wisdom about marriage and ministry, as well as what to do before you say yes!  Healthy relationships are vital to health of the church, so we're talking about it and guess what...Its good good!

It got real REAL in my conversation with Youth Pastor Duane Williams Jr. As a former Baltimore City police office, youth advocate, and minister of the gospel his insights and viewpoints come from a place of experience and wisdom. The talk we had may be seen (or heard rather lol) as a bit controversial because we dug into some of the politics of “church”. Should preachers charge an honorarium to share the Word of God? Should musicians leverage the “need” for music as a means to get paid for serving in their local congregations? Yeah…it was that kind of talk. @Saved_Millennial @Dwilliams_jr @EvgShane

As a pastor, author, and conference host he brings a unique perspective on the state of the church.  He talked the pressure of living up to the expectations of people when it comes to preaching and the responsibility of stewarding the gift God has loaned him.  In this interview Pastor Tyson offers some very frank advice to young preachers/leaders and encourages those in leadership to never lose humility.

E P I S O D E 17 :: In this episode of SM Radio me and Casey J. talk about how the church is not a building, it is the movement of people who carry the message of Christ and his love in the earth.  She speaks candidly about how she recognized some flawed personality traits within herself and later found that God was calling her to walk in humility and service.     Y’all know I didn’t let her her go without talking about her music!  We talked extensively about her new album “The Gathering” and how she uses her music as an evangelism tool by hosting Pop Up Worship events.     Get into it! 

A MUST LISTEN!  The church is suppose to be a place of refuge and healing, but are being that to the LGBTQ community?  In this episode Jessica and I take a deep dive into the relationship of the church with the LGBTQ community, and she shares her journey of deliverance from the lifestyle.  I love the insight she gives us on how to reach this community by simply showing love and grace the way Christ does with ALL of us.  If you’ve never tuned into SM Radio before you’ll want to hear this episode for sure.  

E P I S O D E 15 with Keri Crutchfield takes us into a world where intercession and fashion intersect!  She shares her journey of faith, from sleeping on couch cushions in a crack house to being all in for Christ!  We talked about how she’s using her gift of styling to empower women and to share the gospel!  It’s GOOD GOOD!

In this episode I speak with Ashley Burton who’s not only a mental health advocate but a preachers kid.  We talked about the pressures of being a PK, the challenges of dealing with mental health as a Christian, and what churches can do to be more supportive of those within the body of Christ suffering with mental health issues.  Ashley is very transparent and sheds light on this very important topic.  

This week on SM Radio, I chat with TyQuel Davis.  He's the founder of the Encounter Prayer Line and sincerely enjoys equipping and empowering youth to be bold about Christ.  In our conversation he shares his perspective on what it means to be submitted and to serve with a sincere heart.  We engage in some talk about the sin consciousness of the church, and I think you'll find his perspective surprising.

This week me and thee ssangin, worship leading, and glory cultivating Antwaun Cooks continue the SM conversation around reaching the lost, extending grace, and his song writing process. Antwuan resides in the city of Orlando where he serves as the worship leader at The Experience Christian Center under the leadership of Pastor Derrick and Lady Taja McRae. He is passionate about corporate worship and sharing the love of Christ with those who have not experienced such great a love. In this interview he gives us some insight on how the song Light It Up was birthed and of course you know I got the tea on where he thinks we are as a church!
