Dublin is the capital and largest city of Ireland. It is a center for education, arts, and culture. As of 2018 the city was listed by the Globalization and World Cities Research Network as a global city with a ranking of "Alpha minus", which places it as one of the top thirty cities in the world. \ Dublin has a vibrant nightlife and is reputedly one of Europe's most youthful cities, with an estimate of 50% of citizens being younger than 25. The best-known area for nightlife is Temple Bar. You should at least walk through the Temple Bar district just to take in all the really cool pubs. I stayed a night in a real Bonafide castle in Clontarf located just 5 miles outside of Dublin. Clontarf Castle is a modernized castle dating to 1837. The Clontarf area is famous as a key location of the Battle of Clontarf in 1014. There has been a castle on the site since 1172. In modern times, it has functioned as a bar, cabaret venue, and hotel. I recently purchased the Premium Collectible Studios One Six Scale Future Revolution Magneto Statue (Supreme Edition) from Sideshow and I am blown away by the level of detail and craftsmanship that went into this piece. I recently purchased the Sideshow Batman Premium Format statue and I have to say, I am extremely impressed. The level of detail on this statue is simply astounding. From the intricate folds of Batman's cape, to the realistic wrinkles on his suit, every aspect of this statue has been carefully crafted to accurately represent the Dark Knight. Derry is one of the oldest continuously inhabited places in Ireland. It boasts the only remaining completely intact walled city in Ireland. The Walls were built 1613–1619 as defense for early 17th century settlers from England and Scotland. To walk the entire Wall is a distance of approximately one mile (1.5 kilometers). The Wall varies in height and width between 12 to 35 feet (3.7 to 10.7 meters). The four original gates are Bishop's Gate, Ferryquay Gate, Butcher Gate, and Shipquay Gate. The Magazine Gate, Castle Gate, and New Gate were added later making a total of seven gates. It is one of the few cities in Europe that never saw its fortifications breached. I thought I had cancelled the Mystery Poke Slab subscription, but I must have been a little late. There is a net loss on this subscription. You pay $65 (marked down from $75). The first box I received had a $30 value card and this one was a $40 value card. If the value was at least at a break even price, I might continue. At this point I would just be gambling each month that I would get one of the lucky gold boxes. Even if you're a hard core Pokemon collector, you would do much better buying the graded card you want online. It seems like all the fast food companies are adding a "spicy" option to their menu. Arby's added a challenge to their spicy menu, the Diablo Dare. Starting January 18, 2023 anyone who has taken the challenge is encouraged to use the #ArbysDiabloDare hashtag on TikTok to talk about their experience and how long it took them to down the sandwich. Arby's believes they have the spiciest sandwich on the market. The sandwich has five sources of spice, including a layer of ghost pepper jack cheese, fiery hot seasoning, fire-roasted jalapenos, a special BBQ sauce and it's all placed in between a red chipotle bun. Jumped on a train from Belfast to Portrush, Northern Ireland. Portrush is a seaside resort town and I was there during the off-season. I kinda equate it with Jersey Shore or Coney Island. Since it was the off-season there was no wait to see anything, downside is there wasn't really much going on to go see. This video is a quick highlight of the thing I saw and did in Belfast. The ghost pepper, also known as bhut jolokia is an interspecific hybrid chili pepper cultivated in Northeast India. In 2007, Guinness World Records certified that the ghost pepper was the world's hottest chili pepper, 170 times hotter than Tabasco sauce. The ghost chili is rated at more than one million Scoville Heat Units (SHUs). However, in the race to grow the hottest chili pepper, the ghost chili was superseded by the Trinidad Scorpion Butch T pepper in 2011 and the Carolina Reaper in 2013. The McDonald's McRib wasn't a huge hit when it was first introduced. That might be because it came on a normal bun and the BBQ sauce was in a packet like their ketchup. They did a little revamp to make it what it is today. Now they bring the McRib back every once in a while, usually in the fall, to great fanfare. When the McRib is announced as being back on the menu, tons of people flock to McDonald's to get their fix. I make the annual pilgrimage to the Mesilla Valley Maze in Las Cruces every year in October. There is a plethora of things to do and see there for all ages.
