  • 149: The Surest Person in the Room WINS

    09/08/2018 Duration: 10min

Do you ever wonder why some people succeed and connect with people right away, while others, when given the same opportunities, just can’t seem to pull it together? Over the years I’ve noticed one common trend that sets these people apart, no matter the kind of sales, business or opportunity – and that’s certainty.   “The most valuable thing you have is swagger.”   I was able to observe this same trait while at an entrepreneurial event this week with 15,000 people. Everyone at this event has the hopes of being really successful, but realistically only about 1,000 will actually see those results. So if all these people were offered the same products and opportunities, why isn’t everyone really successful?   It comes down to your energetic posture. When you approach someone, do you begin your conversation with confidence and excitement? Or do you tend to act shy and unsure of yourself while tripping over your words instead?   When you’re first meeting someone and/or presenting them with an opportunity, they wan

Always go into a webinar with sincerity and value. Let your audience know who you are and what solution you’re going to offer them and you’re well on your way!   If you’ve been thinking of incorporating a webinar into your business, don’t miss out on this freeing and immeasurably value episode. • 147: How To Grow Your Audience

    02/08/2018 Duration: 09min

Today I’m going to give you the answer to the question of why your audience might not be growing – regardless of what business you’re in. Brace yourself, it’s really quite simple.   The No. 1 reason your audience isn’t growing is because you’re not putting information and content – that’s shareable – out there. But was does it mean to be truly shareable? It’s about blowing the minds of your current audience so much that they are compelled to share it with their audience – and then their audience becomes your audience. See how this can turn into powerful ripple effect? Your content has to be so DANG good that it practically forces others to share.   Here are three ways to increase your chances: Start creating a better experience. This can happen simply by always having the posture and intent of putting something extraordinary out there. Do it more often. Create, create, create…share, share, share. Ask others to share and give them directions.   That last point may make you feel a bit awkward, but people crav

  • 146: Business Lessons from the Amazon Jungle with Tyler Gage

    30/07/2018 Duration: 49min

It’s an honor to interview such a wide array of people and I love it when past guests connect me with other amazingly successful entrepreneurs. I was recently introduced to today’s guest, Tyler Gage and am blown away by his journey.   Northern Californian-raised, at age 19 Tyler began studying native plants and languages with indigenous elders in the Amazon rainforest. Not long after, he witnessed these people tearing down trees in order to send their children to school. Taken aback by this, soon after set out to find a more sustainable way for people of the Amazon to provide for their families without sacrificing their ecosystem.   Tune in to hear all about the company Tyler founded to do just that and the parallels he’s discovered between the Amazon and running a business/being an entrepreneur. He also touches on what it means to be a “fair trade and/or B-Corp. This is such an eye-opening and enlightening conversation – and I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on it!   --      Question Highlights: What’s one

  • 145: An Amazing Story of Giving vs. Judging

    26/07/2018 Duration: 15min

Lori and I just wrapped up our trip to Europe and wow, it was one of our greatest experiences to date – not just enjoyment wise, but we learned so many things about ourselves and other people.   One particular story and lesson we’ve taken home taught us about perspective on how people think, but don’t take action.   While having lunch in a beautiful square in Spain, we overheard the conversation of a group of women on vacation at a nearby table. They were talking about another person they knew – someone who presumably had a lot of money. They were appalled that someone could buy a $60,000 watch when they could use that money instead to feed people. Of course, my ears perked up because this was clearly a money mindset issue.   But before I go further, please know that by sharing the following story my goal is not to brag; nor is it to judge these women. After all, we’re all on different journeys, right?   “Make a difference, don’t make a judgment.”   Their judgments all come down to perspective. So yes, a $60,

    23/07/2018 Duration: 58min

Cole Hatter is back on For the Love of Money and this time we’ve asked his wife and partner in crime, Sanja Hatter, to join him. I love having couples on the show because I enjoy hearing how other couples make working together work. But even more importantly, I find my audiences resonate with these conversations the most.   First and foremost, I love how family-centered both Cole and Sanja are. With two kids and a close relationship with their family members, they truly have set a standard that I hope to match when we have kids down the road. And the love doesn’t stop there. Cole and Sanja practice generosity whenever they can whether it’s with their time or money. They are committed to showing people unconditional love in business and everyday life.     Tune in to find out how this power couple works together day in and day out (both the highlights and struggles), what their dream life looks like, how faith plays a role in their success and what they’re looking forward to this year.   --      Question Highli

  • 143: Are You Being Abundant OR Financially Irresponsible??

    19/07/2018 Duration: 14min

Today we’re talking about the huge difference between being abundant and financially irresponsible. You see so many people want to be abundant but they’re using abundance and increasing their financial thermostat as an excuse.   “Abundance without responsibility is stupidity.”   Sounds harsh, but here’s what I mean. If you’re living outside of your means, perhaps buying high-price items (homes, cars etc.) when you don’t have the secured money to do it, you’re not actually living in abundance. On the contrary, you’re likely attracting more lack, and you feel fraudulent and broke because you’re not ready to spend like that. And let’s be honest, when you’re broke it’s hard to feel abundant.   I can talk about this firsthand because Lori and I were once living this way. We had the house and the cars, but the recession it and we felt the complete opposite of abundant. It’s my hope that by sharing this that you’ll remember this lesson and avoid going through something similar.   So how do you know when to feel abun

  • 141: My Quarter Million Dollar AMEX Bill...WTF??

    12/07/2018 Duration: 11min

Picture it… You receive your monthly credit card statement, open it and find that the balance due is a quarter million dollars! You’d be blown away, right? Well, let me tell you... I sure was. At first, I felt instant feelings of anger, panic…and scarcity. Yes, I still have flashes of that money mindset belief, but this one knocked the wind out of me. I wasn’t expecting that balance – honestly, it wasn’t even on my radar. My range of emotions went from holy crap – $250K could buy me a nice home in my hometown of Green Bay, WI to how the hell did we spend that much money in 30 days? Were we spending irresponsibly? Will this be the new norm? Then, I slowed that train down and realized we had a lot of expenses last month. I hosted my mastermind group and we go ALL out. We spent two weeks away on Lori’s book tour with our team. Add to that social media ads for the book, a charity donation, international travel and more…well, I’d say we got an awful lot for that quarter million.  So I reversed that scarcity mindse

  • 140: How to Be a More Confident Speaker with Yahya Bakkar

    09/07/2018 Duration: 56min

The name Yahya in Arabic means “alive,” and my friend and guest, Yahya Bakkar embodies his name to a T!  Full honesty, when I first met him in our mastermind, I thought he was just this loud person putting on an act, but within 10 minutes, I realized it wasn’t an act at all – that’s just who he was and it was awesome! In fact, I discovered that it was these traits that I wished I possessed more of. And since that time, Yahya has given me permission to be louder, bigger, more self-expressed and perfectly imperfect. After hearing everything Yahya’s gone through, however, it’s hard to believe that he’s such a positive and high energy person. From complicated parental relationships and struggles with religion to following his heart in terms of his career and marrying his high school sweetheart, Yahya discovered what it means to be fully and unapologetically self-expressed and now strives to help others do the same. Whether you want to become a better speaker or just become more self-expressed, our conversation

  • 139: I Found I Out That I STILL STRUGGLE With This...

    05/07/2018 Duration: 11min

This week, while going through the decision-making process of buying a new car, I had a surprising moment of self-discovery... I still struggle with my money mindset. Let me know if you can relate.   Many of you know, that I previously owned a Ferrari, and it was a dream come true to own one. However, there were a couple reasons why this car just wasn’t working for me anymore.   Lori didn’t enjoy the Ferrari like I did. Being more of a race car, it’s not as comfortable, loud and just different to drive. She did like it and tolerated riding in it because she knew how much I loved it.   Full honesty, there were a lot of times where I just felt weird about driving it. You’d either have people yelling nasty comments or others who when stopped at a light snapped pictures like paparazzi. It was a lot of extra attention and it didn’t always feel good.   Here was my dilemma though, and where I still realized I struggled with money mindset. I had some resistance around letting my Ferrari go, because letting that g

  • 138: Believing Your Way to Success with Danny Morel

    02/07/2018 Duration: 56min

I love hearing success stories – especially from individuals who found theirs from the ground up. My guest today, Danny Morel, is one of these stories. Considered the “man of the house” at an early age after a cross-country move from New York to California, he shouldered a lot in order to protect and provide for his family. From driving at age 13 to starting his first business at age 18, he knew he was wired for more in life. Since that time, Danny has run successful businesses, only to lose everything when the market crashed, and once again fought his way back to become the owner of several businesses that earn more than $40 million in revenue. Crediting much of his success to his thought process, he unknowingly (and luckily for us) lays out a step-by-step plan to help others get what they want, too. You definitely don’t want to miss this inspiring and motivational conversation. Oh and if you’re in the L.A. area July 11-13, be sure to get to tickets to his Relentless event. There will be some incredible sp

  • 137: How to STAND OUT to Stand Up for Your Message

    28/06/2018 Duration: 09min

I’ve been noticing lately that there are just too many people who are invisible that need to be seen and share their message with the world. Have you noticed that? Do you ever feel invisible? Perhaps while being an onlooker you wonder how someone’s business is killing it, but you question why or how they’re doing it. Here’s one of the main reasons… they STAND OUT!    Full honesty, it’s hard to stand out today. There’s so much going on in social media and there are so many people doing similar things, so you need to find a unique way to get noticed.   “Crack the code and find out how to stand out to get your message heard.”   It’s all about grabbing someone’s attention by flashing something “shiny.” Lori and I sometimes call it the “bait and switch.” For example, Lori will show an image of herself that shows her abs, but instead of talking about fitness she’ll talk about self-development and what she’s passionate about teaching. It’s all about getting people to take noticed and then teaching or telling your

  • 136: How PLAY Can Boost Your Business with Rob Murgatroyd

    25/06/2018 Duration: 38min

It was a blast to sit down and talk with one of my best friends, fellow entrepreneur and podcaster, Rob Murgatroyd. He’s changed my life in more ways than one, but I’m most grateful for him and our friendship because he taught me how to incorporate more play into my life. Because what fun is being successful if you can’t enjoy it, right? Today Rob is sharing how he finds balance between work and play and why you’re doing yourself (and likely your business) a disservice by not finding it. He admits that it’s not always the easiest task, but if you focus on what you really want your life to look like and create the plans to go along with it, you’ll be well on your way. It’s my hope that this episode encourages and inspires YOU to get out there and PLAY hard!     Question Highlights: What’s your favorite quote? What’s one of your superpowers? What’s one thing you’re afraid of? What’s one of your favorite accomplishments? How does giving continue to drive you? How do you balance your chiropractic business, podca

  • 135: It's OK to Change Your Mind

    21/06/2018 Duration: 13min

Today’s topic can be a taboo topic to talk about because there are so many conflicting opinions out there as to why a person shouldn’t or can’t change their mind. While I completely agree that you can’t change your mind on a regular basis, I also believe that if you don’t like the path you’re on, it’s OK to change your mind and get off it. In fact, in this episode, I’m giving you “permission!”   There are a couple moments in my life when I did the unthinkable and changed my mind – and they weren’t small decisions at all. The first is my brief stint in college. I didn’t want to be there. I wanted to be out in the world and making money, but I also wanted to make my parents happy. So I stayed and sabotaged my grades by not engaging (Books? Who needs those?) and excessive partying. Needless to say, I was kicked out.   I share this story with you for two reasons… Don’t take the roundabout way. Take the direct route. I was right! I made it to the outside world and made $75K in small-town WI – 20 years ago!   Ano

  • 133: Who Are You NOT To??

    14/06/2018 Duration: 08min

While on Lori’s book tour I’ve found myself in a state of awe watching Lori serve others over the past couple weeks – even when sick. Yep, she was sick and still showed up and rocked the stage to help others make lasting changes in their lives.   So it got me to thinking… With all these people in the room, including myself, I realized that ALL of us are capable of doing that based on the gifts we were given. We all have unique talents that we can use to create a solution for people in pain.   “You have a responsibility to get over yourself and do this.”   Set aside those nerves, your worry about what others will think etc., and start serving. Can you imagine what this world would look like if every person had a solution to someone else’s problem?   So I ask you, who are you not show up and serve your solution? Keep in mind that everything is an energy exchange. Many people use money as that energy source, but it’s not always the case.   “When you gift your solutions to other people’s problems you are giftin

  • 131: More People NEED YOU Than You Think

    07/06/2018 Duration: 08min

Today’s episode is all about flipping your perspective upside-down and leaving you empowered to find more customers to build your dream(s) and wealth. Get ready…   “There are more people out there who need you more than you need them.”   Here are two reasons why I love this statement so much.   There are plenty of people that need what you have to sell whether it’s a product, service, talent etc. You don’t need anyone, however, you can desire people to partake in what you have to offer. Saying you need something comes from a place of lack, and we know that we don’t operate from that place, right?   We all have individual talents and abilities and we need to share them. Sure, there may be someone else or another company who’s doing something similar, but they’re not YOU. So before you let your inner dialogue run away with phrases of lack (I’m not good enough; no one wants what I have to offer etc.), realize that there are 7 billion possible takers in this world… The odds are clearly in your favor.   “There i
