  • #83: 7 Killer Facebook Ad Hacks To Sky Rocket Your Conversions (Part 2)

    26/03/2019 Duration: 13min

Facebook Ad Hack #1: Use high-quality ad design In the world of Facebook advertising, the adoption would read: “Keep your ad quality, copywriting, and standards high.” No matter how good your ad copy or your bidding methods, a low-quality ad image can ruin all your other efforts. Without a high-quality ad design, your campaign’s almost certainly going to fail. Creating a Facebook ad design that looks trustworthy and outstanding isn’t too difficult. You don’t need the black belt in Photoshop to put together a simple well-designed Facebook ad. I personally use Canva.com though if you’re creative juices have stalled, you can always find loads of good designers over at fiverr.com Tip: Make sure that your Facebook ad design is at least 1200 x 628 pixels wide, and that the colours look good on every screen. Facebook Ad Hack #2: FB Messenger Ad Campaigns Not really a Facebook Ads hack, but a huge opportunity nonetheless. I’ve only seen two Facebook Messenger campaigns done well, so far. I don’t know if this is becau

My Facebook Hacks: Now there’s a legit way to spy on your competitors Facebook Ads, without even leaving the Facebook platform. I don’t recommend copying your competitor’s Facebook Ads, as this will confuse your audience and leave them wondering which brand is which. Facebook Ad Hack #1: Spying On Your Competition Step 1: Go to your competitor’s Facebook Page Step 2: In the sidebar menu on their Facebook Page, click “Info and Ads” Step 3: Change the region to “Global” Here are all of your competitors Facebook Ads, for you to draw inspiration from. This is possibly one of my favourite Facebook Ads hacks, and so many people still don’t know about it! Spicing Up Your Ads With Emoji's SaaS brand Scoro ran a small A/B test to test whether emojis have any effect on the click-through and engagement rates. They did. The ad with emoji in the headline had a 241% higher click-through rate than the ad with no emoji. Adding emojis to your Facebook Ads is super easy: Find an emoji in Emojipedia Copy it to your clipboard I

  • #81: Facebook Pixels: How To Set Yours Up To Crush It!

    12/03/2019 Duration: 15min

What Is the Facebook Pixel To Begin With? The Facebook pixel is a piece of code you place on the backend of your website to track visitors to your site. The pixel allows you to run highly targeted campaigns, so it’s important to install it before running Facebook ads.   Each ad account gets one default pixel to use. The code is made up of two main parts: the pixel base code and event code. The pixel base code tracks all of the traffic to your site.   Event codes are additional pieces of code you can add under the default pixel code to specific pages of your website that allow you to track certain actions on those pages.   The Step-By-Step Guide To Your Facebook Pixel Success! PDF Download of this episode with full instructions here >>   Here’s a closer look at the types of event codes you can add. Search: If you have an ecommerce site, you can place the Search event code on a search results page on your site. For example, if someone is searching your site for “leather sandals,” you can add that term to the

  • #78: How To Build Unstoppable Mental Strength

    12/02/2019 Duration: 13min

For many people, the fear of rejection, a lack of optimism or a host of self-sabotaging behaviors hold them back from reaching their goals. The hurdle that keeps someone from crossing over the space between a mediocre life and an extraordinary life is a lack of mental strength. Your mind can be your best asset or your biggest weakness. If you don’t train it well, your negative thoughts will become a self-fulfilling prophecy. If you think I’ll never get hired, you’ll probably sit through an interview with slumped shoulders and lackluster responses. Your behaviour could prevent you from making a good first impression and ultimately decrease your chances of being hired. When you don’t land the position, your self-limiting beliefs are reinforced and the negative cycle continues. When you label yourself as not good enough or not smart enough, you equip your negative thoughts with the power to influence your emotions and behaviours. You can’t create positive change until you take back control of your thoughts. You

  • #76: 10 Ways to Make Working From Home More Productive

    21/01/2019 Duration: 09min

10 Ways to Make Working From Home More Productive Everyone wants to be more productive. How incredible would it be to wake up with a to-do list that you can actually do? Unfortunately, life happens and distractions get in the way of a day's fully checked off checklist. I'm guilty of starting out with good intentions and then falling prey to the dings of my email and the bright lights of my phone.  I took it upon myself to stop the madness and slowly started implementing these things one by one...and it actually worked. You don't have to apply this list all at once but if you can get to a place where you are doing most of these things most of the time, then you are well on your way to a more efficient day. Find movement every 60 minutes. Some studies recommend every 30 minutes, but if you are deep in your work, getting up for a walk when you're in peak creativity is just as counterproductive. I opt for a five-minute walk or stretch every 60 minutes. The quick break allows your brain to pause and rejuvenate. If

  • #75: How To Make More Sales With Facebook Retargeting Ads

    14/01/2019 Duration: 11min

How Does Retargeting Work? Retargeting is a cookie-based technology that uses simple Javascript code to anonymously ‘follow’ your audience all over the Web. Here’s how it works: you place a small, unobtrusive piece of code on your website (this code is sometimes referred to as a pixel). The code, or pixel, is unnoticeable to your site visitors and won’t affect your site’s performance.   Every time a new visitor comes to your site, the code drops an anonymous browser cookie. Later, when your cookied visitors browse the Web, the cookie will let your retargeting provider know when to serve ads, ensuring that your ads are served to only to people who have previously visited your site. Retargeting is so effective because it focuses your advertising spend on people who are already familiar with your brand and have recently demonstrated interest. That’s why most marketers who use it see a higher ROI than from most other digital channels. Why cart abandonment happens: There are multiple reasons for users to not compl

  • #73: How To Start An Online Business (Part 1)

    24/12/2018 Duration: 09min

How To Start An Online Business (Part 1) The playing field that you, the aspiring online marketer, stands upon is not level. It is stacked against you. Resistance (self-sabotage, procrastination, fear, arrogance, self-doubt) is inside you. No one inflicts it on you from outside. You bring it with you from birth. If you don’t believe me, look around at friends and family who have talent and ambition in spades... but are drinking, doping, abusing themselves and their loved ones, wasting their lives because they can’t get out of their own way and do the work they were put on this planet to do. Trust me: you will NEVER, NEVER achieve your dreams until you learn to recognise, confront, and overcome that voice in your head that is your own Resistance. Now the good news... You're not "wrong" if your head is your own worst enemy. You're not "weak." You're not "sick." Everybody experiences Resistance. Resistance is an objective force of nature, as immutable as gravity. There's no magic bullet. No hack, no trick, no ti

  • #72: The World's Biggest Tech Flops And Flat Out Bombs!

    17/12/2018 Duration: 17min

This week we fondly recall some over promoted products and technologies that utterly failed to live up to their hype... One Of Bill Gates' Favourite Case Studies In 1957, Ford released a car that flopped so spectacularly that it has become a timeless case study on how not to develop and launch a product. The Ford Edsel was supposed to be the new premiere car for middle-class Americans. Ford was so confident in the product that it pumped $US250 million into it. But instead of starting a revolution, the company lost $US350 million on the unattractive gas-guzzler. The very name "Edsel" became a popular symbol for a commercial failure. Ford spent millions on focus groups and surveys to come up with a car was ahead of its time, a virtual prototype of the befinned monsters that became popular in a decade later. Only one problem: the Edsel was incredibly ugly, with a front grill that looked as if the car had just sucked on a lemon. Here are some lessons from the failed launch that are still relevant today. • #71: How The Power Of Technology Is Shaping Our World

    10/12/2018 Duration: 15min

We are living in one of the most tumultuous times in history. The internet has revolutionised life as we know it. There are 2.5 billion people logging onto the Internet around the world each day. At least 290 million Internet users in the United States alone. And they’re researching products and services when they’re surfing the web—and buying them too. Over the next decade, another three billion people are expected to gain access to an Internet connection, and begin contributing to our online economy. Online businesses can be some of the most profitable enterprises around. With low overheads and staff requirements, the potential to make money is huge. As the world population spends more of their hard-earned income online, the opportunity for entrepreneurs to build wealth from starting an online business is abundant. It happens all the time – for one reason or another, a company gives up on a beloved product and gives it the “End of Life” kiss of death. The company stops producing it. It stops supporting it.

  • #69: Why Facebook Rejects Your Ads (And How To Avoid It)

    26/11/2018 Duration: 11min

It's really important that we talk about compliance with Facebook. If you plan on making it with Facebook ads, if you plan on success, Facebook takes compliance incredibly seriously. They ban accounts faster than almost all other platforms. If you get banned, does it mean that you can never advertise on Facebook? No, you could start a new ad account, but I've come to learn that it's a lot easier to just play by their rules and the rules are very fair. At the end of the day what they're doing is helping you, helping the advertisers, and helping the platform. Though one problem is that there's a lot of things that are a little bit of a grey area, so there's going to be things that you'll see other people doing that when you try to do it, it doesn't work and Facebook may not like it. They may decline your ads. This is how compliance impacts upon you... First of all, it impacts upon your opportunity to advertise on Facebook to begin with, but what a lot of people don't realise, is that even if an ad is running, i

  • #67: How to Break Out of Your Comfort Zone

    12/11/2018 Duration: 14min

Many of us think of the "comfort zone" as a relic of '80s motivational psychology. Though in fact, the comfort zone is a pretty useful psychological concept that can help you embrace risk and make changes in your life that can lead to real personal growth. So what is the “Comfort Zone?” A comfort zone is a psychological state in which things feel familiar to a person and they are at ease and in control of their environment, experiencing low levels of anxiety and stress. ... It has been as "a behavioural state where a person operates in an anxiety-neutral position." The idea of optimal anxiety isn't anything new. Anyone who's ever pushed themselves to get to the next level or accomplish something knows that when you really challenge yourself, you can turn up amazing results.  However, pushing too hard can actually cause a negative result, and reinforce the idea that challenging yourself is a bad idea. It's our natural tendency to return to an anxiety neutral, comfortable state. You can understand why it's so h

If you hear anyone say that starting an online business is any of these, it’s time to tune out and move on. These people are perpetuating common myths about the industry.
